We have found successful control of the Coddling Moth with an insecticidal virus. This virus targets only the Coddling Moth worm which is frequently found in apples and other fruits. It has a short pre-harvest interval which means the fruit is safe for consumption. Since the Coddling Moth can have multiple generations in the summer, we aim for two application: the first in the early fruiting stages (mid to late June) and then an additional application 3-4 weeks later.
