Insecticide treatments will depend on the tree and diagnosis.

Typical treatment methods include:

  • Targeted or preventative foliage sprays. This is for any insects that may be affecting the leaves of the tree which will decrease vigor.
  • Preventative trunk spray. Insecticide is applied to the trunk and major limbs to prevent an insect from boring into the tree in the future.
  • Targeted or preventative trunk spray. A systemic insecticide is applied which the tree will take up to help target borers and other insects that may already be in the tree.
